How the ER is different from Urgent Care
Urgent Care Centers

Urgent Care Centers provide treatment for minor ailments, injuries and illnesses. These facilities generally offer extended hours of operation for medical treatment however, they are not equipped nor licensed to handle major medical trauma or emergencies.

Freestanding Emergency Rooms

Emergency rooms are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and have the capabilities and licensing to handle moderate to major medical trauma or emergency life-threatening conditions. The physicians in an ER are trained to care for emergencies in both children and adults.

Here at Schertz Cibolo Emergency Clinic we are prepared for the most serious of medical emergencies while also having the capability to care for minor ailments, 24 hours 7 days a week, often times when all other medical facilities are closed.
